Around the village, Mr. and Mrs. Frank McWhirt attended the graduation of their grandson, Matthew, on Saturday at the Chancellor High School in Spotsylvania.
In the afternoon they were joined by their niece and nephew, Janie and Claude Patenotte of Newport News and other family members and friends at the home of their son and daughter-in-law, Walter and Pamela McWhirt for a buffet given by them in honor of Matthew.
