Helpers desperately needed

The Washington Volunteer Fire Department, RAAC, and RAWL are responsible for the parking situation on July 4th in Washington and the money collected is used to support the three groups. These organizations would like your assistance with this job. If you would be willing to help on the Fourth for 2-4 hours parking cars, please call Beverly Atkins at 675-3843 to schedule your shift.

Summer art camp

Middle Street Gallery will hold its annual Summer Art Camp this summer during the first two weeks of August at the Recreation Center in Washington. From August 2-6, Laurie Marshall (675-3267) will teach drawing and painting. From August 9-13, Jeanne Drevas (9873129) will teach sculpture and paper-making. Camp runs from 9-11:30 and cost $35 per week. There is scholarship help available. Call the artist for information and to register. The sign-up deadline in July 12.

Breakfast at Flint Hill

A breakfast sponsored by the Flint Hill Volunteer Fire Department will be held from 8 a.m. to 12 noon on Saturday, June 26 at the fire hall with Clara the Clown. Prices are $5 for adults and $3 for children.

Summer program for teenagers

Don’t let time pass you by! Remember that registration for Ki Theatre’s Summer Program for Teenagers is on a first come first served basis. Scholarships are available too! For three weeks in July, teens can gain experience in theatre, voice, dance and stagecraft classes working with professionsl artists and perform in a major production. The program welcomes all those interested in learning more about the performing arts regardless of previous experience.
