the Kena 500, a purple dinosaur and a plethora of fire engines, rescue unites, majorettes, bands and politicians marched in the Flint Hill parade last week. More than 150 units participated.
The parade was, for many, the high point of the Flint Hill Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company’s 1993 carnival, while others enjoyed the rides and games at the midway.
"We feel it was a big success,” said spokesperson Connie Huff-Harris.
Leslie Baker was named Queen, with Heather Legg runner up. Little Miss Flint Hill was Raven Baker, and Lee Ricketts was named Mr. Flint Hill.
