Mr. Blanton is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Douglas Blanton of Front Royal. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Samuel E. Blanton and of the late Mr. and Mrs. Wiley B. Morris of Farmville.
Miss Matthews is a horticulturist employed by The Inn at Little Washington.
Mr. Blanton is a pharmacist at the Family Pharmacy in Front Royal.
The wedding will take place in November.
