Wakefield’s architect Davis Buckley said that he plans to work with the existing infrastructure as much as possible, causing the least impact to the site. For example, he plans to use the existing roadway, while the manor house and two stone outbuildings will be restored for school use.
Planning Commission chairman Henry Atherton said that the commission has not had ample time to consider the proposal before voting on the special exception and the 456 approval. “Suddenly, this has gone on a very fast track,” he said.
The Planning Commission voted to table both votes until the next regular meeting.
