Cynthia Faydine Brandt of Woodville, formerly of Clearbrook, and Parker Hale Stafford of Carbondale, Illinois, were united in marriage July 3 at Goodson Chapel on the campus of Shenandoah University in Winchester.
The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Edward Brandt of Clearbrook.
The bridegroom is the son of Mrs. Elizabeth Minor McCommon of Blacksburg and the late Mr. Thomas Stafford, Jr.
The Rev. Bruce Souders of Shenandoah University officiated. Frank Greenlee was guitarist and Elizabeth McCommon, mother of the groom, Paris Stafford, and Matilda McCommon, sisters of the groom were soloists.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a gown of white satin with a neckline accented with iridescent sequins and pearls. The fitted bodice had an overlay of alencon lace with an inset of iridescent sequins and pearls and featured a V back ending in a satin bow with a cluster of pearls. The short puffed lace sleeves were trimmed with a satin bow and a cascade of pearls. The full skill fell to a semi-cathedral train.
Her headpiece was a garland of petal with edged tulle that fell to her waist. Her bouquet was a cascade of white roses, peach carnations, white daisies, baby’s breath, and ferns.
Sylvia Brandt of Cleveland Heights, Ohio, sister of the bride, was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Darien Rose Roberts of Imperial Beach, California, sister of the bride, and Teri Knapp of Sarasota, Florida.
Caitlin Stafford of Culpeper, niece of the groom, was flower girl.
