United States of America, there was a Poe Road.
For some 240-odd years after the above facts, I understand the aforesaid road has been renamed the Jericho Road. That the Poe Road had to be renamed as a concession to the county’s 911 system and cannot be changed, slaps of error. What the Board of Supervisors taketh away, it can return. No government local or otherwise should become the instrument by which names of historical roads or places are changed.
Therefore let’s get our feet down on reality and our minds in gear and return on old place to its old name.
