Divorce Recovery Workshop A Divorce Recovery Workshop will be held at Culpeper Baptist Church, 318 S. West Street, 7 to 9 p.m., Aug. 6 and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Aug. 7. The workshop is open to anyone who is separated or going through divorce and seeking “to put life together” again. There is no charge for the workshop, but registration is requested. Group Meeting Canceled The Transplant Support Group, regularly scheduled for the first Thursday of each month at 7:30 p.m., will not meet in August. Watch this paper for future meeting dates and times.

Walk-in Clinics The Rappahannock County Health Department is expanding its walk-in clinics for the following services: Routine Childhood Immunizations, HIV antibody testing and blood pressure screening which are offered free of charge. The following times are available in August. 911 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 5; 2-4 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 10; 8:30-11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 16 and 1-3 p.m., Tuesday Aug. 24. Reunion Planned The annual reunion of the family of the late Alfred and Catherine Gearing Jenkins will be held Sunday, Aug. 8, at the Rappahannock Park. All friends and relatives are urged to attend. Lunch will be served at 12:30 p.m.

Children's Concert The Child Care and Learning Center will be sponsoring a children’s concert by Richmond performing artist “Betsy Q.” Forbes at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 10. Betsy will be singing songs from her two albums “Butterfly In My Soup” and “Are We There Yet?” Admission is $1 and the public is invited to attend. The concert will be held outdoors at the CCLC pavilion (or indoors if it rains). Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Committee Meeting Planned The Mental Retardation Committee Meeting of the Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Board will hold a meeting at 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 5 in the Lord Culpeper Building.

Library Committee To Meet The Rappahannock County Library finance committee will meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 10.

Reading Program Continues Stories, stories and more stories will be featured at the Rappahannock County Library at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 11 when storyteller Mike Dunnigan will be the featured performer for the summer reading program, “Peer Amid Books...Read.” The final program will be Aug. 18 so all participants are reminded to continue reading and logging their books. There are some great prizes to be won! All library programs are free and open to the public.
