School days are over for Mrs. Jane Batchelder, Amissville, who is retiring after a teaching career that has spanned almost 30 years, including the last 20 at Fauquier High School, Warrenton.
“I’ll miss the kids,” she said. “They keep you young. But retirement will give me more time with the family, and to read and travel.”
Mrs. Batchelder’s most recent position at Fauquier High was as a reading specialist. She is a former coordinator in Fauquier County for the English as a Second Language (ESL) program.
She taught in the Alexandria school system before taking the Fauquier position.
