Virginia State Police Sgt. Gregory A. Morris continues his recovery from an accidental gunshot wound, State Police spokeswoman Lucy Caldwell said this week.
The 40-year-old trooper, who is a resident of Fauquier County, is one of two sergeants who supervise the troopers assigned to Rappahannock and Fauquier counties.
Ms. Caldwell said he was transferred July 28 from Fairfax Hospital to the Mount Vernon Orthopedic Rehabilitation Hospital in Alexandria.
At Mount Vernon, Ms. Caldwell said, Morris will begin a period of intensive rehabilitation to recover from the serious bullet wound. She said that Morris will remain hospitalized for some time to allow the greatest benefit from the intensive physical therapy regimen.
