Edith Bridget, Ora Roy, Bessie Grigsby, Wilma Bridget-Scott and other friends from Alexandria have just returned home from a weeks cruise in the Caribbean, sailing on the Great Soverign of The Seas ship.
Places of interested visited were St. Thomas, Puerto Rica and the Bahamas. “What an experience and a wonderful trip. We enjoyed every minute of it,” said a spokesperson for the group.
Mr. and Mrs. Rob Brown and daughter Jessica and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Porter and sons Richard and Charles Jr. of Newton, Georgia spent several days last week with Miss Mary Miller Wood.
Mr. and Mrs. Edward M. Clark and Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Brown and daughters Amanda and Bobbie Jo returned home on Saturday evening after vacationing for 14 days through 18 states. Some places of interest were Oprayland where they also took a cruise, then headed out to the Mid West w'here they saw flood waters to the edge of the road.
Other places were Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, The Bad Lands National Park, Yellow Stone National Park, The Devils’ Tower, Bear Country U.S.A., Old Faithful, and The Corn Palace w hich is made our of real com with a different design each year, its the only one in the world. It rained almost every day and in Wyoming it snowed and was cold. All had a great time but nice to be back home.
Mr. and Mrs. Art Tanchak from Noakesville were Friday evening guests of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Simmons.
Richie Eastham and Lori Breining recently enjoyed dinner at Joe’s Italian Restaurant in Culpeper to celebrate Lori’s birthday.
Sunday afternoon Mr. and Mrs. Richard Simmons were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Cornwell in Front Royal.
