Johnnie Jenkins
Johnnie Franklin Jenkins, 53, of Washington, died Friday, July 30 at his residence.
Mr. Jenkins was born in Rappahannock County on December 11, 1939 son of Lillie Burke Jenkins and the late Henry Jenkins.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis G. Jenkins of Washington; three sons, Johnnie L. Jenkins and Mark L. Jenkins both of Washington and Roy W. Jenkins of Bowling Green; three daughters, Virginia Ann Kilby of Sperryville, Polly Ann Jenkins Woods and Brenda Lee Jenkins both of Washington.
Also surviving are two sons-inlaw, James Woods and Russell Kilby; one sister, Mary Holt of Falls Church; two grandsons, Mark Russell Kilby and Steven Biggs and a best friend, Larry Biggs.
He is predeceased by one son Jamie Franklin Jenkins.
Graveside services were held Sunday, August 1 at Etlan Cemetery with Pastor John Burke.
Clore Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Mildred Bowen
Mildred Roads Bowen, 90, of Marshall, died Friday, July 30 at Oak Springs Nursing Home in Warrenton.
The funeral was conducted Tuesday, August 3 at the Royston Funeral Home in Marshall by the Rev. Randy Daniels.
Burial was in Marshall Cemetery.
Miss Bowen was born Sept. 27, 1902, in Flint Hill, the daughter of the late Edward W. and Mary Bell Brown Bowen.
She was a member of the Marshall Baptist Church.
Surviving is a sister, Julia B. Hale of Arlington.
