They said they would not be able to get as large a line from Boston as one from Sperryville.
Mr. Estes said the Sperryville substation is unique in that it can get power from Luray, Front Royal, or Madison. “The station is only out momentarily. There is always power at that station,” he said. “I can understand w’hy you would want to pick up current at that station.”
