Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 5 at Moser Funeral Home with the Rev. J. Richard Winter officiating.

Interment will be in the Warrenton Cemetery.

William Cecil

William Robert “Bob” Cecil, 54, of Sperryville died Tuesday, Aug. 3 at Henrico Doctor’s Hospital in Richmond.

Mr. Cecil was bom in Washington, D.C. on May 26, 1939 son of the late James William and Mabel LaFontaine Cecil.

He was a retired D.C. Bail Agency Lawyer.

Mr. Cecil was a member of Our Lady of the Blue Ridge Catholic Church and a graduate of Notre Dome University and Catholic University.

Survivors include his stepmother, Mrs. Lorrine Cecil of Hyattsville, Md.; one sister, Marvbeth Gaine of Purcellville; one niece C. Brigid Gaine of Purcellville; one brother-in-law, Patrick Gaine of Purcellville; a best friend, James Jager of Sperryville and a number of cousins.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Aug. 6 at Our Lady of the Blue Ridge Catholic Church in Madison with Father John F. Morel officiating.

Interment will be private.

Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of the Blue Ridge Catholic Church.
