Robert Hall, 39, of Tampa, Fla., received sentences totalling 12 years for rape, attempted rape, and sexual battering in tbe 20th Judicial Circuit Court last week. He was also fined $2,500.
Hall was found guilty of these offenses after a jury trial in June, and has been in the Rappahannock County Jail pending sentencing ' since then.
The offenses, which occurred in August 1992, involved a 16-year-old girl. Hall received 2 years for attempted rape, 10 years for rape, and was fined $2,500 for sexual battering. The sentences will run consecutively. Judge W. Shore Robertson followed the jury’s recommendations for sentencing.
