Library Series Continues
Friday Library lecture series presents Lecture and Video Presentation pertaining to the Battle of New Market and the role played by The Virginia Military Institute in the Civil War at 8'p.m. on Friday, Sept. 10 at Rappahannock Library on U.S. 211. The programs is free to all and refreshments will follow the open discussion.
Quillo Raffle
A Quillo raffle to benefit the Promise Land Baptist Church Flower Club will be held at 5 p.m. on Aug. 28 at the hofpe of Wilbur and Edith Bridget. Call for directions 987-9214. >'
First prize will be the homemade Quillo, second prize, homemade pound cake and the third prize will be a homemade fruit pie. Cake and ice cream will be served.
Booster Club To Meet
The Rappahanncok Athletic Booster Club will be meeting at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 30 at the high school. All parents that have children in sports or anyone that is interested in being a member or helping with the Booster Club are welcome.
Danc&At Amissville

Whartons Plan Reunion
The annual family reunion of the late Henry T. Wharton and Lillie M. Cloud Wharton will be held at the Rappahannock Park on Sept. 4. Family and friends are invited to come and bring a picnic and spend the day.

The Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Board will hold its regular meeting at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 31 in the Library of the Lord Culpeper Building, 401 South Main Street, Culpeper.

Beekeepers To Meet
The Northern Piedmont Beekeepers Association will hold its fall meeting on Thursday, Sept. 2 at the Jefferson Savings and Loan Association building, 701 South Main Street, Culpeper.
The program for the evening will be a mixture of education and pleasure with fall management and disease control being the highlights of the educational program, Ann Hannan will give a photographic tour of beekeeping in Hungary and Macedonia.
