ported several weeks ago that the perpetrator left a note at one house saying that he or she was tired of the dogs barking. However, Major Ed Streapy of the Rappahannock County Sheriffs Office said that the writer of that note was not responsible for the dog killings and is not a suspect.

“The investigation is continuing,” he added.
