The eight people who will be running for Washington Town Council were asked the question, “If you are elected to the Town Council, what do you hope to accomplish?”
Following are their replies.
Doris Critzer: “I just want to be in there and vote for what I feel is best for the town. I don’t agree with some things that I hear are being planned. I think everyone in the town should take an interest in things.”
Mary Updike: “I hope to accomplish what most of the people in the town want, rather than special interests. I’ll be working for the people in town. That is all I can hope to do.”
Charles Eldred: “I have decided to run because I am interested in trying to maintain a balance between the historic nature of the town and being able to provide forsome very modem needs. I also feel
