In Rappahannock County General District Court on March 8, Ronald Lee Weaver, 19, of Amissville was found guilty of driving under the influence on January 16.
According to Virginia State trooper C.W. Sumner, he was called to the scene of an accident on Route 729 near Route 640 in Amiss ville, at 4:01 a.m. on Jan. 16. He arrived on the scene about 4:25 a.m. and observed a car nose down in a ditch.
Mr. Weaver was on the scene, and Trooper Sumner noted that he smelled alcohol on him. At this point, he administered three sobriety tests to Mr. Weaver, all of which he failed. Mr. Weaver’s breath test showed that his blood alcohol level
