spend during and after school helping the students select their music and practicing with them, most of which is on their own time without pay. They are two dedicated music teachers.
The judges that are selected for this contest are volunteering their time and are commended for doing so. Most of them are very qualified, but some are not. The judges are given evaluation sheets where they enter their scores for each performer. After each performance, th§ judges are given time to enter their scores on these sheets. When everyone has performed, the judges get together and total these scores to determine the winners.
It is known to be a fact that some of the judges have changed their scores from what they originally put down. There have also been incorrect totals due to inaccurate addition.
The message that is being sent to these performers is, what’s the point. The judges show favoritism and don’t even have the common courtesy to add correctly. This really tears down the performers self-esteem. Until there are more
