Ask anyone in Virginia what music typifies the sound of our region... and they’ll reply “John Jackson.”
The seventh of fourteen children bora in Rappahannock County to tenant farming parents, John Jackson is indeed this country’s native son.
Almost like an ambassador from the Blue Ridge, he has carried his warmth, his music and his love for America and her people to over 60 nations. He has performed for Presidents, the Congress and Senate, Kings and Queens, European royality, and heads of State around the globe.
At 8 p.m. on Saturday, March 19, John Jackson will be presented with "A Personal History” by Ki Theatre. This third and final program of the 1994 Exchange Series will be held at The Theatre in Washington with the box office at Ki Theatre.
