The table took quite a pounding Monday afternoon at the Board of Supervisors meeting.
The supervisors were discussing the costs of various options for handling county trash.
The county had solicited bids for hauling county trash to large private landfills and received two bids. County Administrator John McCarthy asked for authorization to enter into further negotiations with W.C. Spratt Recycling, Inc. of Fredericksburg and Browning-Ferris Inc., the two bidders.
