WCDS also announced that Christa Franklin, a senior from KeameysviUe, WV, has been named a finalist in the National Merit Scholarship Program.
Miss Franklin was previously recognized by the College Board as an Advanced Placement Scholar with Honor, for successfully completing four or more advanced placement examinations with scores of three or higher. She took five ad-* vanced placement tests as a junior and had an average score of four on a five point scale. She expects to take advanced placement tests in three more subjects this spring.
Miss Franklin plans to study medicine following graduation.
