time has been lost which cannot really be recovered, no : matter what type of make up is scheduled. Of course school students and employees aren’t the only - ones effected. When there is an announcement on the radio ; that “liberal leave policies are in effect” for workers, that means people are giving up their vacation time this summer because they can’t get to work this winter. We admire the heroic efforts of highway workers trying to return our roads to passability. Their hours have been nearly impossible. There are times it seems their use of chemicals, sand and gravel is rather stingy, but we understand that all that has to be trucked to Rappahannock, ; and every locality wants its share. : Here at the Rappahannock News, we’re getting pretty ! tired of this weather also. Plans for what events will be covered for each week’s paper are scrapped over and over. Of course, news is not supposed to be preplanned. News is supposed to be what happens. But frankly we are getting tired of writing about storms * and taking pictures of snow.
