As spring sports get underway at the high school, the baseball team has a new coach this year. He is Bob Howard, who began as a substitute teacher at the high school two weeks ago.
Mr. Howard hails from Brookline, Massachusetts, where he lived within walking distance of Fenway Park, home of the Red Sox. He graduated from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut last May.
He has spent 11 of his 22 years playing baseball, mostly in the position of catcher. Because of an injury, he didn’t play much baseball in college, but did work as an assistant
