John Kendall
Mr. John James Kendall, 75, of Warrenton, died on March 3 at his home.
Mr. Kendall was born April 24, 1918, in Rappahannock County, son of the late James H. and Mary Estelle Hitt Kendall. ,
Mr. Kendall retired from Vint Hill Farms Station after 32 years service as an equipment operator. He had been enjoying his retirement since February 1979.
Mr. Kendall was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army in Germany.
He was a member of the Forest Grove Baptist Church in Viewtown a member of the Disabled American Veterans and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He is survived by his wife, Eileen Owens Kendall to whom he had been married for 42 years; a sister, Mrs. Virginia Kerns Payne of Culpeper; a brother, Russell H. Kendall of Falls Church; a half-brother, Richard H. Kendall of Warrenton and a half-sister, Mary Kendall Graves of Falls Church.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, March 6 at Moser Funeral Home with the Rev. J. Richard Winter officiating.
Interment was in Hillcrest Memory Gardens in Jeffersonton.
