After a delay of one week caused by last week’s winter storm School Superintendent David Gangel finally presented his proposed $5.8 million budget to the School Board and public Tuesday evening.
As presented the budget calls for a $183,000 increase in local funds, but Dr. Gangel asked for School Board guidance on whether or not to add a teacher for gifted and talented students and a gasoline and diesel fuel tank at the bus shop.
The board decided to add the teacher, at least until their work session next week and to plan on purchasing bus fuels from a “convenience store” they anticipate will open across U.S. 522-211 from the bus shop.
