Treasurer Brad Fisher brought copies of the 1994-1995 proposed budget for the Town of Washington and the Washington Water Works.
The council decided to hold a public hearing at the Town Hall at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 1 to discuss the budget. According to law, the hearing must be held at least seven days before the budget is passed, which may occur at the June 8 meeting of the Town Council. The budget must be passed, however, before July 1.
The budget projection of $123,100 shows an increase in total income of $24,650. The bulk of this amount is a projected increase in the lodging and meals tax income of $21,800 over the 1994 budget projection.
