I The program is well on its way | and the Washington Volunteer Fire ; Department would like to encourage ; all Rappahannock residents and visi1 tors to join us on the Fourth in Little ; Washington. The day will be filled | with craft sales, good food, games ! for the children, music (patriotic, ’> country, folk and bluegrass), our ' own Colonial Dancers, square danc( ing, politicians, and our traditional children’s Bicycle Parade. Anyone interested in having their candidate speak on the Fourth, please contact me at 675-1349. Children, ages 5 to 12 years old, plan now to decorate your bicycle and participate in the parade. Singers young and old interested in helping with the patriotic sing-along, please call me for a rehearsal schedule (we meet just two or three times before the Fourth). Any Rappahannock community group wishing to have their activity listed on the printed program/schedule of events, please ' call. Don’t forget, the Seldom Scene will be performing at 5 p.m. on the . hill for a free concert. Invite your friends and relatives to join us for the Fire Department’s barbecue dinner and some good music followed by square dancing, foot races, the crowning of the WVFD Queen, a performance by Rare Bird, a folk/country band, and fireworks.
