Booster Club To Meet
The Rappahannock Athletic Booster Club will be holding its annual elections at 7:30 p.m. on May 23 at Rappahannock County High School in the library. All member are encouraged to attend and vote. Anyone interesting in joining the club is urged to attend.
Bake and Yard Sale
Amissville United Methodist Women will sponsor a yard sale from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 21 at the church. “We’ll have lots of good bargains and a bake sale,” said a spokesperson. For donations of items to sell or baked goods call 937-3062.
Spring Carnival Set
A Spring Carnival will be held at the Northern Virginia 4-H Center May 18-21..
Thursday night will be ride all night for one low price and The Purple Dinosaur will give away a boy’s bike and a girl’s bike. On Saturday The Purple Dinosaur will appear from 5 to 8 p.m.
Procees will benefit the Chester Gap Volunteer Fire Department. Advance tickets are available at Northern Virginia 4-H Center or by calling 636-3221. “Help us, help you,” said an organizer.
LFCC Cla^s at High School
Typing I (Course . OFT111) is the next class in the Office Systems Technology Program (Administrative Assistant Specialization) offered by Lord Fairfax Community College at the Rappahannock County High School. The three credit class will be held from 5:30-9:30 p.m. on Tuesdays, beginning May 31. The cost of the class is $135.90 (45.30 per credit) plus an additional charge for textbooks.

Spaghetti Dinner
Washington Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department will be having a spaghetti dinner at the fire hall from 5 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, May 28. The menu consist of spaghetti with choice of two sauces (meat 1 and vegetarian), salad, bread, dessert, tea, lemonade and coffee. Cost i is $5 for adults and $3 for children under 12.

R.A.W.L. Benefit Brunch,
The Rappahannock Animal League is pleased to announce a benefit brunch to be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, June 12 at the Bleu Rock Inn. There will be food, raffles, door prizes and a special guest speaker Dr. Michael W. Fox. Dr. Fox holds a veterinary degree and a doctorate in psychology from London University. He has written over 30 books on animal behavior and animal care. He is a current Vice President of the Humane Society of the United States. Tickets are $30 per person and are available now.
