As we approach the beginning of a new Council, I look to Ray Gooch, Newbill Miller and Janice Moffett to provide invaluable continuity. I am glad that our boards and commissions have the able leadership of Peter Skowronski, Donna Kevis and Susan Parrish. I hope Mark Bailey will continue to participate in government. And, of course, I will look to the counsel and support of Frank Reynolds and John McCarthy.
I further hope that the entire Town will vigorously and constructively participate in government. I urge the townspeople, as well as the entire Rappahannock community, to provide a critical presence at our meetings. I hope that they will phone me or stop me on the street and express their views.
We have become a nice Town to visit, but not a nice town in which to live. We need to devote our energies to correcting the latter image. I
