4-H Special Interest Camps - The Northern Virginia 4-H Education Center, located near Front Royal, conducts a special interest camp each week during the summer in additional to the regular county camps held each week. ‘The specialinterest camps are conducted by the 4-H Center for children in all counties in Northern District,” stated Helen W. Smith, Extension Agent. “We are fortunate that Rappahannock County is so close geographically to the 4-H Center because it allows a lot of Rappahannock children the opportunity to attend another camp.” The ages and fees for the special interest camps vary. A list of camps and dates follow: Fresh Water Fisheries Camp, June 10-12, $60; Horse Camp, June 9-23, $130/120; Environmental Camp, June 26-30, $140; High Adventure, July 10-14, $150; Cloverbud Family Weekend, July 19-31, $95; Cloverbud I, Aug. 7-9, $65 and Cloverbud II, Aug. 9-11, $65.
