Library Program, Picnic
On June 3, the usual Friday Night at the Library program will be a “Bring it yourself’ picnic supper at the Rappahannock County Park at 6 p.m. The Tae Kwon Do Black Belt School of Warrenton will give a demonstration of their work at 7 p.m. Children are welcome. Bawkey Family Reunion
A Bawkey family reunion for the relatives of the late William Claude Bawkey and Fannie Cobb Bawkey will be held on Sunday, May 22 at the Rappahannock Park on U.S. 211 in Washington starting at 12 noon. All family members and friends are invited to attend and are asked to bring a covered dish.
Natural Health Care Series
The Natural Marketplace in Warrenton is hosting a unique series of workshops on health care and herbal medicine. Beginning on June 2 and on every Thursday in June, each class will teach basic anatomy, physiology, origins of common disorders, and natural therapies that are safe, effective, and time-honored. Teacher, herbalist and practitioner Kathleen Maier draws from her background in training as a. Physician’s Assistant, as well as her experience in private practice as an educator and herbalist. Class will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at The Natural Marketplace. The topics to be covered are June 2, Immune System; June 9, Respiratory/Digestive; June 16, Nervous/Circulatory; June 23, Woman’s Health Care; June 30, Children and Natural First Aid.
