During the business meeting, which was conducted by President Helen Brown, the Horticulture Committee Chairman Celine Siira presented a proposal to Club members for landscaping the grounds around the Washington Fire Hall. Her Committee has been working with Mark Ramey’s landscaping company, Greensmythe Landscape Hardscape, and the landscape plan she presented was unanimously approved by the Club. The next step is consultation with members of the Washington Volunteer Fire Department to determine whether they would like to have this done and to incorporate their ideas into the plan. This project is another endeavor of the Garden Club to make the community a more pleasing place to live.

Hostesses for the meeting were Phyllis Keim, Margaret Tucker and Judy Halle.
