Gifted Education: A teacher of the Gifted provides direct instruction to students at both schools. High School Gifted and Talented students will be offered individualized access to a computer network.

Rappahannock Elementary (Grades K-7) features a strong basic skills program for all children with an emphasis on integrated reading at most grade levels. In addition to core academic subjects, music, art. library, and physical education are offered at each grade level. Offered in the upper elementary grades are: Instrumental A vocal music, Spanish, and French. One of 14 RJR-Nabisco "Next Century Schools' nationwide, the focus of the three year grant at grade four is oil developing interactive computer instruction.
