Bob Brown’s Puppets, sponsored by F & M-Winchester, Flint Hill Office, presented “Old MacDonald’s Farm.” It was a hilarious introduction to many of the characters and animals found on a farm. Some of the favorites were Hay Fever, a dancing scarecrow; Merlin the Magician, an owl; and Jeremiah, a bullfrog.
One of the favorite performers was storyteller, musician Bill Wellington who presented a lively program. He entertained with traditional and original songs and stories.
Drawings for prizes were held at the end of every program. These prizes were donated by local businesses and community groups as incentives for the children to read and to participate in the summer reading program.
