Kaye Kohler of Amissville, a long time resident of Rappahannock County, was hired this week as the new administrative assistant for the Washington Town Council.
At the Washington Town Council on August 10, Mayor Stew Willis and Tom Zumwalt received approval from the council to be the two members who would decide who to hire for the position. All members of the council voted on the motion, but Reinhardt Lynch and Ray Gooch voted against it, believing that all members should be involved in the hiring decision.
