Prclincs new and newly resurfaced roads and provides work zone protection for painting operations. Performs manual labort and preventive and minor maintenance on equipment. Assists in sign fabrication operations and maintenance to include erecting and maintaining highway signs. Must have knowledge of simple arithmetic and the ability to operate and maintain light duty highway equipment; perform manual labor and routine and repetitive work as required in the operation of mechanized equipment; and possess safety shoes and a Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Salary: $14,048 - $21,449. 1

TRANSPORTATION CREW LEADER #02464 - Culpeper. Directs and participates in the1 daily activities of a Culpeper District sign crew, including fabricating, erecting, and maintaining highway signs on the interstate, primary, and secondary systems. Plans work crew schedules; instructs employees in 1 equipment usage and prventive maintenance; and maintains records of work completed, materials, and equipment. Requires working knowlede of highway construction and maintenance equipment, materials, and methods. Demonstrated ability to provide direciton and guidance to others; keep records and preapre reports; perform heavy manual labor; and operate light-duty highway equipment. Safety shoes and A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) are required. Experience in highway sign fabrication and installation will be considered a plus. Salary: $18,352 - $28,021.
