HIGHWAY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR B #15170 - West Culpeper Area Headquarters. Operates and maintains medium and heavy duty highway equipment, such as 3-5 ton dump trucks, various rollers and loaders, backhoes, and motor graders in the construction, repair, and maintenance of roads and right of ways. Performs heavy manual labor, including loading/unloading vehicles, flagging traffic and setting warning devices, constructing simple structures, and cutting brush. May also supervise and lead other workers, complete forms, and maintain records. Must have a working knowledge of highway maintenance and construction equipment and activities and skill operating medium and heavy duty highway equipment. Demonstrated ability to perform manual labor, supervise and lead others, complete forms and maintain records, and possess safety shoes and a Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Salary $15,357 - $23,447.
