Personal Property Taxes
Although most people got their county motor vehicle stickers by Monday’s deadline, many of those same people have not yet filed personal property tax forms. After the May 1 deadline an additional 10 percent will be added to the tax if the forms are not filed on time. The Commissioner of : Revenue’s office has sent out the forms. * They should be checked for accuracy and ' returned by May 1. Anyone who did not receive a form should call the office at 6753513.
The office is also accepting applications for tax relief for the low income elderly and disabled. Call the office for information or an appointment.
Office hours will be 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. through May 1.’
