Helen Pszenny
Helen S. (Hudek) Pszenny, bom in Springfield, Mass., wife of the late James J. Pszenny, was a lifelong'resident of Salem, Mass, and had recently been living with her daughters in Sperryville. . She had a deep love for her family, her gardening and most enjoyed relaxing in the sun. She was active in the Salem Polish American Veterans Club and enjoyed participating in their many social functions.
She is survived by four children, Helen Carroll of Sperryville and husband, Don; Ted Pszenny of Chicago, 111. and wife, Dee; Phyllis Swindler of Sperryville and husband, Jim and Ray Pszenny of Rockport, Mass, and wife, Elizabeth.
She is also survived by eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 12 noon on Friday, April 26 at the Chapel at Greenlawn Cemetery located at 57 Ome Street in Salem, Mass.
Hazel Pote
Hazel Spicer Pote, 61, of Bealeton died at her daughter’s residence in Charlottesville Sunday, April 14.
Mrs. Pote was bom Feb. 14, 1935 in Winchester to the late Marion Alfred Spicer and Mrs. Ruby Jenkins Spicer of Culpeper, formerly of Rappahannock.
She was a member of Remington Baptist Church.
Her husband, was the late Edwin Hunter Pote.
Besides her mother, she is survived by her daughter, Sandra P. Watson and her husband, James and two grandsons, James H. and Michael S. Watson, all of Charlottesville.
Additional survivors include two brothers, Thomas E. Spicer of Warrenton, and Carlton C. Spicer of Ruckersville and two sisters, Marion S. Coates of Culpeper and Ruth S. Leach of Midland.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Karen June Pote and one sister, Joyce Nall$.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 16 at Found and Sons Chapel with the Rev. Sandy Martin and the Rev. Sidney Rodriguez officiating.
Interment was held in Oakwood Cemetery in Charlottesville.
Found and Sons Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Mildred Wood roof
Mildred Burford Woodroof, 77, of Elon, died April 13 in Lynchburg General Hospital.
She was the wife of W. Edwin Woodroof since Sept. 10, 1938.
Bom in Amherst County, she was the daughter of Edith Waiters Burford and the late Frank Sylvester Burford.
She was a homemaker, a member of Elon Presbyterian Church and its Presbyterian Church Women’s Circle,
96.0%
