I for one, and I believe 1 can safely say I represent many families, believe we don’t need the federal government’s money on education programs of this type. Let the taxpayers of Virginia and every other state determine how we should educate our children.
We take their money for their program, and we will take all the strings attached, along with a program which emphasizes attitudes and political correctness instead of the basics our children need. We know how to teach our values to our children. I’m not ready to give up yet another right to the federal government.
Which brings me to my point. Why weren’t the parents and taxpayers of Rappahannock County notitied of such a decision of this magnitude. This was not business as usual. This should have been made known to us through the newspaper at the very least.
I am concerned about the School Board agenda for these meetings and how they are prepared in the future to include the people they supposedly represent.
Perhaps Mr. Gangel, the superintendent, can explain this vote taken so * quickly when in fact a decision did not have to be made until July of this year.

I have some questions about the ’v “nonprofit” group TV-Free America. Which foundation grants them the money they operate with? What are the salaries of the directors and executive directors? How many people are employed by this, ‘^nonprofit” group' and exactly what do they do in their day’s work?
