Alternate Bid #3 - The project involves: all labor, material, and services tor the removal ot existing roof sections (approx. 76' x 76’, and 76' x 42'), the replacement of damaged tectum decking, and me replacement of these roof sections with an SBS modified bitumen built-up roof, using existing drains and downspouts.

All work is to be done in accordance with me project manual/specifications which may be obtained from K. David Smith, Director of Administrative Services, Rappahannock County Public Schools, 6 Schoolhouse Road, Washington, Virginia 22747 (540) 987-8773.

A pre-bid conference will be held at me Rappahannock County Elementary School at 10:00AM, April 25,1996. Bidders are required to attend mis meeting.

Bids will be received at me Rappahannock Couhty School Board Office until 2:00 PM on May 3,1996. Bids should be delivered in mail or in person to K. David Smith, Director of Administrative Services, Rappahannock County Public Schools, 6 Schoolhouse Road, Washington, VA 22747 (540) 987-8773. Bids are to be in a sealed envelope marked “RCES Roof Replacement", and indicate the Contractor's Virginia Class A registration number. Any bids received after the deadline will be returned unopened. Rappahannock County Public Schools reserves the riaht to reject any or all bids. -

Important notice to bidders: Bidders must agree to comply with the documents "Rappahannock Guidelines for-Work in Schools" and "Contracted Maintenance and Capital Improvement" copies which are available for review at the School Board Office. Bids are to remain open for acceptance or rejection for thirty (30) calender days after the date of opening of bids.
