Major Rick MaeWeleh said that on Tuesday afternoon, warrants for bad check charges were being obtained for Richard W: Woodward, 24, of Culpeper, and Christopher Owens, 23, of Reva.

Both men are being charged for passing several bad checks at area businesses. Mr. Woodward will be ^charged with 11 felonies and four misdemeanors. Mr. Owens, who is alleged to be involved in the same bad check scheme, will be charged with four misdemeanors.

The Sheriff's Office has been investigating the two men for quite some time, but have waited to obtain warrants until they felt that had all of the checks in hand.
