One of the best ways to remove the water would be to construct or use the natural drainageways to handle the required run-off for that particular site. Most waterways are built to be one foot to two feet deep and 30 feet wide allowing the flow of water to concentrate into one spot. At the outlet the run-off is safely removed from the field without causing any erosion problems. After the excavation, these areas should be seeded with 60 pounds of Kentucky 31 fescue and acre, lime and fertilize and also mulch with straw or hay to help ensure a good stand.
