Rappahannock County is known for its agriculture productivity, the beauty of its land and a high concentration of artists.
The Virginia Commission of the Arts has recognized excellence in the arts in Rappahannock by awarding seven grants in the county.
These include an operational grant . to RAAC (the Rappahannock Association for the Arts and the Community). Ki Theater received a grant to tour “My Family Album” written and performed by Julie Portman with music by Paul Reisler. Reisler’s Trapezoid also received a touring grant. Laurie Marshall and the Song Sweepers will perform “Stories from the Dust in the Comer’ throughout the state on another touring grant. Sharon Wyrrick/Full Circle Theater
