The 4-H Birding Club members constructed the birdhouses at a workshop in March and then sold them on April 20 at the Earth Day Observance at Ben Venue Farm.
There are still a few birdhouses leftover in the Extension Office window on Gay Street reduced to half price which is $5. The display of birdhouses has proved profitable, too. One day a tourist from Massachusetts walking on Gay Street saw the birdhouses and inquired about them. Upon learning about the 4-H project, she purchased one to take home.
