The Blue Ridge Community Orchestra will sponsor a new Junior Orchestra to begin rehearsals on Sept. 21. This initiative brings the opportunity to younger players in the community to perform in an ensemble of strings and winds in an orchestra setting.
The Junior Orchestra will be under the leadership of Sonje Terry, violinist and teacher, formerly at Grymes School in Orange and currently teaching at the Waldorf School in Charlottesville. Anne Kish, Artisitic Director and conductor of The Blue Ridge Community Orchestra will also participate in the formation of this new ensemble.
