evening of Caribbean sights and sounds with music and dancing for everyone. Their music has evolved from 50 years of Carnival and can include traditional island calypso, reggae and soca including their interpretations of Stevie Wonder, the Beatles and J.S. Bach.
The featured instrument is the Pan, a unique Caribbean steel drum instrument transformed by master craftsmen Irom 55-gallon oil drums. The Pan Masters perform on more than 30 pans producing a lull range “orchestra” sound. The melodies evoke the sounds of the islands, the percussion “kitchen” providing strong rhythms to create one of Bluemont’s most colorful and popular concerts of the season.
Concert-goers are encouraged to dress in island attire.
