Brooke Miller on third and the bases still loaded. Miller came home when I ommy Jones drew a walk. But that ended the scoring.
The Monarchs managed to hold onto the tie in the top of the second inning and took a 4-2 lead in the top of the third on a hit by Reggie Williams followed by a homer by William Parker.
The score stayed 4-2 until the bottom of the fourth inning when the Raiders managed five runs on two hits and five errors. Luther Alexander came in to relieve Leroy North with two outs and the score 6-4 in favor of the Raiders. A passed ball at the plate allowed another Raider run.
The Monarchs managed two more runs themselves in the top of the fifth inning as Jason Brown drew a walk, a Paul Brown hit drove Jason to second and a walk to Brooke Miller loaded the bases. A Roland Harris’s hit drove in two runs.
In the bottom of the sixth inning the Raiders added another run. They extended the lead to 9-6 in the bottom of the seventh.
